Our Story..

Growing up in Virginia Beach, around the oceanfront in the early 90’s was full of reggae music. concerts and festivals like one of my all-time favorites Reggae on the River, and Reggae Solstice etc., we looked forward to the concerts for great music and grabbing to latest merch to rep our favorite artist or brand with latest designs. taking a liking to designing clothing in school for fun and simply having a passion for creativity has led me in up to this point… deciding to launch a clothing line and wanting a close friend to experience that journey, I ran the thought by a childhood friend who , come to find out also had thoughts of possibly creating a brand.  after pondering the collaboration, months of back and forth, we landed what we knew would represent so many things not only to us growing up but would hit home to so many others from the same place and all over the country, hopefully all over the world. we wanted this brand to be perfect in every way. undoubtingly the best reggae inspired clothing line ever concocted. it had to represent something created from the start, from the beginning of time about who we were and who we have come to be.  This was not just to be for us, but for everybody. It needed to be something “Vintage”. it needed to be old and from the beginning of time, from the ground up like how we would build it. We all stem from the same origin, from the same place. It started roughly around the same time for many, but for my childhood friend and myself It would be the same exact time, together stemming from same “Rootz”. which we are all from the same roots, Vintage Rootz.

We like the fact that we would create this together, right here out of Green Run area in Virginia Beach Va. one of the coolest things to be done from this area by yours truly. We are really doing it for everybody else, for them to have something to call their own. we soon realized it was for the public. we wanted the brand to represent the reggae community, the brand would have something that connected them. it would be the brand that kept us all in contact and kept us together, that made us a family brand, a community brand., internationally this world struggles with so many issues amongst the people. our brand makes us all one, all equals!  being positive and wanting the world to come together to overcome hate, racism, poverty, and many other important global, social and economic issues, we have made it a point to use the brands voice and our brands mission to be the gateway to spread and promote multicultural awareness, positivity , and unity through music with apparel!
